World Kidney Day takes place this year on Thursday 13 March 2025.
Kidney disease is projected to be the 5th leading cause of death worldwide by 2050, rising from 18th leading cause in 1990. 1.8 million Australians are completely unaware they have kidney disease.
Old Treasury Building will be lit in red for this event from sunrise to sunset.
