Today we stand alongside the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Alliance and the World Pancreatic Alliance by turning purple for for beginning of World Pancreatic Awareness Month.
They aim to raise awareness and pay tribute to those living with the disease and to honour those who have lost their lives to pancreatic cancer.
Patients diagnosed early and in time for surgery are more likely to live five years and beyond. Early diagnosis is vital, so say “Hello, Pancreas” and don’t ignore the signs.
Old Treasury Building will be lit in purple for this event from sunrise to sunset.
