This exhibition displays a large number of the original entries to the Landmark Ideas Competition. The entrants were to submit designs for the area now known as Federation Square.
The entries on the whole were totally bizarre and impractical. It was the era before computerised graphic design and many of the entries are beautifully hand drawn. Over 2,000 entries were received from around Australia and from overseas. Prizes of up to $2,000 were given to a number of entrants.
This exhibit closes February 27, 2012.
